[NA Eun-kyung, Edaily Reporter] Graphy, a company specializing in 3D-printed medical materials, said on April 13 it will advance its ESG management based on its core technologies, with a focus on creating social value through technology by improving medical accessibility across all generations using its proprietary shape memory aligner(SMA) technology.

Graphy’s ESG approach begins with its production process. Its model-less manufacturing system eliminates the need for traditional plaster models, a key step in conventional analog methods, and instead directly produces devices using digital data. This reduces waste and chemical usage during manufacturing while maximizing resource efficiency through an on-demand production system.

The company is also promoting a “three-generation family orthodontics campaign” aimed at breaking the perception that orthodontic treatment is limited to aesthetic improvements for certain age groups. The initiative expands access to elderly patients who have traditionally been underserved, creating differentiated social value.

By leveraging the characteristics of SMA technology, which applies continuous and gentle force to teeth, Graphy has created an environment where elderly patients with weaker gums can undergo orthodontic treatment with minimal burden. The company plans to help reduce health disparities between generations and contribute to broader public oral health by supporting dental care from children to seniors.

Its social contribution efforts are focused on improving real-world medical conditions rather than one-time donations. Following support for underserved medical areas in Cambodia last year, Graphy has been sponsoring the Korean nonprofit Bareun Teeth Volunteer Group since early this year to extend the benefits of its technology to marginalized communities. The company has also strengthened its governance framework after listing, enhancing internal control processes and promoting transparent and accountable management as part of its efforts to solidify its position as a global company.

A Graphy official said some may question the connection between orthodontics and ESG, but for the company, ESG represents a practical process of reducing environmental impact and lowering barriers to medical care through technology. The official added that Graphy aims to build a sustainable healthcare ecosystem where people of all generations can enjoy healthy smiles, led by its SMA solutions.
